BEIJING, Apr. 26, 2010/ CBINEWS / --“If the promotion of Coud Computing in the industry is just a hype, it is still a great hype, because at least it makes people earn money.” As a firm supporter of Cloud Computing, Infobird Chairman Wu Yimin believes that Cloud Computing is the greatest innovation in Internet era, because Infobird has kept 700% increase with its Cloud Computing products, which proves that Cloud Computing is not “vague”, but also more and more clear.
In 2000, Internet-based Call Center product developed by Infobird met the Internet bubble period, thus Wu Yimin turned to focus on enterprise deployment wi th no choice. Coincidentally, the first customers of Infobird are exactly these Internet companies like eLong and Alibaba.
Two years ago, Wu Yimin did not realize that the new call center middleware product developed with heavy investment is current “Cloud Product”. In fact, “Cloud Computing” as Infobird company-wide strategy started from 2008. In early 2008, after one-year’s research and development, Infobird “Cloud Computing” product – Qitongbao was officially released on the market focusing on SMEs. Qitongbao software enables online customer acquirement and customer retention, being simple and convenient. In the “cloud” mode, as long as you connect the Internet, you can work with “Qitongbao 2009” at a specific location (as in head office), or at several remote locations (as in each branches) or on a business trip (such as in a hotel). At the same time, it also supports interaction with traditional fixed line and mobile phone, and allows Web Call, Web-text exchange, short message and other communication means.
“In other words, as long as Internet can be connected, call center can be established without location limits”, Wu Yimin described. With such an approach the saved cost is obvious: the initial equipment costs, construction costs and later maintenance costs to build a call center business are all transferred to Infobird, so enterprises only need to pay software application fees and service charges.
Now, Infoibrd’s customers are no longer limited to Internet users. It has customers in financial, telecommunications, electricity and other large industries. The establishment of the online call center will help more SMEs to build their own call centers. To serve more segmented industry users, Infobird began to cooperate with Dell to sell “Qitongbao”.
Under the UMO, Infobird will sell Call-center-based Cloud Management Platform “Qitongbao” to Dell’s Chinese customers through its direct selling channel. Dell’s long-term operation and management experience on direct selling model also help SMEs lower costs, increase sales and improve profits.
Speak of the private clouds deployed by large-scale enterprise, Wu Yimin said “only the world 500 enterprises have the ability to do so”, because the SMEs do not have the ability to establish their own branches throughout the world. Infobird cloud computing strategy is aimed at the application level, using SaaS (Software as a Service) mode to provide customer-needed and market-proven cloud computing applications.
Different from enterprise computing, Infobird Cloud Computing products can be used throughout the entire business ecosystem: the industry’s customers, agents, agents, suppliers. The upstream and downstream of entire ecological chain are users of cloud computing systems. In this regard, Wu Yimin told reporters: “Cloud Computing serves enterprise for its business purpose. In the past, the enterprise has lots of obstruction from equipment to business purposes. And now cloud computing changes IT into a service. When companies need service time, they can simply purchase services on Internet and no longer need to purchase equipment as traditional. Enterprises only need to think about what is required to their own business. It can be said that cloud computing is bringing many benefits to operators.”
Infobird itself is the beneficiary of cloud computing. In the past, to successfully deploy its products to end-user’s computer, Infobird must rely on system integrators to make tailored changes on its products. Change by change, the customer becomes exhausted to remember the original business purpose of equipment purchase. In the cloud mode, Infobird can provide customers with a standard online download product. “Now we can put the manager’s business thoughts to the software. So the manager can directly see the value of the software. If it has no effects, he can easily replace it. IT services are wrapped into the cloud, which can help the boss aim at business purposes.”
In “cloud computing” 2010 strategy, Infobird plans to increase sales by five times. To promote more implementation of cloud computing applications, Wu Yimin, said: “At present, there are too little cloud computing applications. According to the development rules of the new-born, we will achieve greater market space than the old will do. Therefore, we will continue to develop more applications, provide suitable services for government, large customers and SMEs.”
The traditional integration mode of call center construction is based on a loose combination of different manufacturers’ components. Infobird adopts “Integrated Call Center System” construction mode with perfect standardized software modules built in the appropriate hardware as a whole, and it provides corresponding customization according to customers’ needs.
The traditional call center mode is separated, under which communication and IT is IT departed. Now through “Cloud Computing” communication and IT can be connected. Users will farewell to the age: short message, Internet and ERP systems are all independent. Cloud Computing can transfer data and information among phone, Internet, ERP and CRM system to achieve customers’ business purposes.
“Hope that the future is not only the integrated application of telephone and Internet. We need to find better ways to help enterprises acquire customers and retain customers. This is the ultimate objects”, Wu Yimin said. Companies must consider the customer acquisition cost and customers reservation costs, and this ratio is generally 5:1, that is to say, “retain customers is relatively easier”. Call Center as a service center can also create value, “Help them improve customer retention rate. Our software is not only to increase staff speak skill training but also to build mature industry management mode.”
Currently, more than 80% of Chinese enterprises still remain the stage of learning “cloud” concept and framework structure. No matter speaking of private cloud or public cloud construction, Infobird is mature in cloud computing technologies, and has been recognized by the market. It not only has been applied in the financial, telecommunications and other key industries but also has a breakthrough in government application. Jiangsu Dinggang Town has cooperated with Infobird, and has established China’s first governmental “Cloud Computing Service Platform”. It builds a high-speed interactive information system for Dinggang government, service providers and residents, including Executive Call Center System, Convenient Portal for People, Convenient Business Processing systems for People and other function systems, which have processed smoothly and shared seamless under an effective security environment.
Cloud Computing also helps Information Centre Staff calculate ROI for the boss. Information Center has always been regarded as the cost center, and it is difficult to estimate the exact ROI. However, in the cloud mode, this figure is easily calculated, and the investment under cloud computing mode has the highest ROI. Wu Yimin explained: “Using cloud computing service, customers no longer need to invest large sums of money for equipment investment and consider equipment depreciation, and they no longer worry about the long-term investment cycle. They only need to pay rent fees monthly or annually. And there will be benefits with that pay-month. The rental costs also include costs of services, labor, electricity, backup power and other operating costs.”
